Project “Construction of an accommodation building for children with disability and for their families”
Time of project implementation: 01.03.2019 – 31.12.2021
Project financing: State budget support amount € 1,400,000, provided by Estonian Ministry of Social Affairs.
The aim of the project: to build a family house as an additional accommodation resource for the respite care service and other family-oriented services in the Tammistu family centre.
The building is located in the Tammistu manor park (Tartu County, Estonia), which is protected by nature and heritage, preserving the structure of the park. In order to place the building appropriately, 2 existing, depreciated buildings were demolished. The higher part is opposite the main building, reflecting its architecture. In this part there is a big kitchen and a dining hall, activity rooms. In the lower part there are accommodation rooms and a multi-sensory room for children and families. The family house was designed by the company U-Disain: http://www.u-disain.ee/. The construction work is performed by Acres OÜ. The construction works started in 3 November 2020 and the construction must be completed by the end of November 2021.
